A dated record of a change made to a site: what was done, where, and when.
An SEO event records a specific change. A page rewritten, schema added, a redirect fixed, a section restructured, internal links repointed.
The date is the load-bearing part. Without it, performance data and work history are two stories that can never be checked against each other.
An SEO event is a record of work, not a claim about results. Joining it to performance data lets you look for a relationship. It does not establish causation on its own, and a system that presents it as proof of causation is overselling.
